LORIUS designs and implements applied research and situation-based research studies that are scalable to meet your organization’s needs. Workplace research can help you understand the root cause of a problem or situation your organization is working through or help you uncover and leverage best practices to improve performance.

We conduct annual research studies to examine important workplace and performance improvement issues our clients are dealing with. New research summaries are published annually in the first quarter. Here are our most current completed studies.

The State of Business Analysis Practices in Organizations            By Lori Lindbergh, Ph.D. & Kathleen Hass

To remain competitive, it is more important than ever for an organization’s leadership team to use business analysis (BA) practices to execute strategies through innovative solutions. This study used a proprietary Business Analysis Practice Maturity Model to examine the state of business practices in organizations. The good news is the findings validated that BA practices are fast emerging in organizations. This is happening as businesses get serious about investing in professional business analysis.

The Bottom Line on Project Complexity                                  By Kathleen Hass & Lori Lindbergh, Ph.D.

As needs change and challenges grow, project management continues to evolve to meet 21st century demands. It takes expertise in Complex Project Management (CPM) for an organization to thrive, indeed to survive, in today’s environment rife with uncertainty. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the applicability of a Project Complexity Model in organizations using a new online instrument, and examine the current complexity levels of today’s projects.
